What useful information should I know before moving into Calverley Close?

Painting & decorating
Make your room feel like home while keeping it simple. Paint only in neutral colours (exceptions may be approved on request). Hanging pictures is fine, just fill and paint over any holes when you leave. If you’ve lived in the flat since launch, you don’t need to repaint back to neutral. Questions? Meters, stopcocks, and fuse boxes
The electric meter is usually located in the storage cupboard near the flat entrance. Some flats have communal meters; if this applies, please contact the caretaker for access, their phone number is displayed on the notice board in the main corridor. The water stopcock can be found in the kitchen cupboard. The fuse board can be found in the main corridor of the flat.

CCTV
CCTV is installed in the communal areas of the block for safety.

Waste collection
Waste should be sorted into General Waste, Dry Mixed Recycling, and Food Waste. Collections take place every Thursday, and communal bins for all three waste types are located outside the block.

Fire Safety
For fire safety, kitchen appliances are not permitted in rooms, except for a PAT-tested mini fridge. The following items are not allowed anywhere in the flat: candles, fan heaters, and e-bikes.
